MINUTES Treasurer’s Report: Gail Perry presented the Treasurer’s Report. Scott Dobler moved to accepted, Patrick White seconded and the motion was carried.. Committee Reports: Track Trials: David McDaniel stated that a new worker chief was needed; and that Bill Perry would be negotiating the track rental rate. The penciled in date for the 2009 event is May 16-17. The Sleep Inn has contacted Jennifer Dobler and quoted $50 a day. Club Race: Projected dates are June 26, (Track Day), June 27 and 28, 2009 for the double SARRC. Bill Perry will be negotiating with Nashville SuperSpeedway people, and will contact the Race Committee to meet after December and his talks with NSS. Solo: The van and trailer are now stored at Pak Rat on Lee Highway. The next Tire Rack Street Survival School will be Nov. 15th and the Times Free Press will be there. There is need for a Safety Steward. Chattanooga State is on board for next year. They want Formula SAE events and drift events. There will be a April 4, 2009 Street Survival School in Scottsboro, AL. Alabama Region is in support of this event. Preparations are under way for the Dec. 6th Driving School in Dade County and the 13th Chattanooga State event. The Rumble is on. Dade County has two charities – one for the Sheriff and one for the school – “Hope for the Holiday’s Charity”. The T.C. Thompson’s event needs to be advertised. RallyCross: Next event will be the Turkey Toss on November 29, 2008. Road Racing: Chattanooga Region took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at the ARRC. Congratulations to Vesa Silegren, Will Perry and Chuck Fulgraff, respectively!!! Old Business: Gerald Street will be following up on the Region of the Year application submittal – Bill Perry thought it would probably be due by November 15th or so. Elections.
